The Ring.Wagner.Animated achieved a four-star rating and in the top five out of over nine hundred productions across all art forms when it premiered at the Adelaide Fringe Festival in February 2012.
Quote from the Adelaide Advertiser:
"The last time [Richard Wagner’s] Ring Cycle was staged in Adelaide, the 18-hour epic cost $15 million and took four days. This week at the Fringe, it will take 90 minutes. While Fringe audiences are used to cut down versions of such epics as Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, this production is by an eminent Wagner conductor and features opera singers and a classically trained orchestra. David Kram wants to make the story, settings and music of Richard Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen accessible to a wider audience.
The production combines animated images and live performance and was showcased for VAPAC in 2012 and then performed as part of Opera Australia’s Wagner Festival late 2013.
